Hello all,
I'm willing to trade some or most of what's left of my Duplais Verte and Vieux Carre. I'd like to keep both the original bottles, so 4oz. trades (or bigger) work for me. They're both good, but not favorites.
Let me know what you have, if you're interested, and we can work something out. I'm a fan of la bleues and well-balanced vertes at the moment, should you have anything fitting those bills.

I have some Mythe or La Muse Verte I'll trade for the Duplais, if you care for either. I can't say I've tried Vieux Carre. I may be interested. What's it similar to? How much is left of them? Sorry, I'd want it in the original bottles. Both of mine are above half full. It's hard to tell with the Muse bottle. It's black, but I think both are a little under 3/4 or so. The Muse might be half. I'll check if you're interested. I just don't care for lemon balm absinthes very much.

I hope you're right. That's a flavor that just doesn't belong in absinthe, IMO.
i cant say i liked Mythe ... too dry/austere
LMV is 'wetter' and juicier to my taste buds .

Oh I know that. It's just how much that citrus-y gin-like thing is evident in the final flavor profile that varies, that's all.
Compare Doubs Mystique with vintage HG Suisse 1969-both use mint for example, but only in one of them the mint is very crisp and not annoying. Same with melissa, if I do not recall any absinthe pushing that herb much too much upfront. You can call some?

Oh yeah? Well, I normally can't taste it as predominantly as in these, though. That's just too strong. I prefer anise to be stronger than the lemon. I don't want a lemon flavored absinthe!
It prolly also has something to do with if the melissa was added prior to distillation or in the coloration step.
