Hi everybody!
Doing the usual intropost so yeah... I'm Leif, I drink absinthe, and I erratically ramble about things that may or may not be worthwhile. I suppose there's more to say but quite honestly I don't know what about.
Cheers,
Leif

Hey hey! Nice of you to join us big guy!
Better late then never or, at least, until my LTV tribute avatar catches on...
Lookin' forward to that day.

Hi Leif and welcome! Maybe you could start an absinthe paintings thread here?
Good to see the blog up and running again.
Howdy back!

Alan,
I could easily start a absinthe painting thread but I foresee it turning into a rant against Jeff Koons and a demand for more nudity in art.
In short, I'll do it!
Jeff Koons isn't worth the energy to rant against. But somehow I can always manage the energy for more nudity.
Howdy Leif! From one artist to another, I'd love to see a painting thread!
Hi, Leif. (Just puttin my two cents in)
Anonymous green peony:
Hmm. Not being one for ungrandiose plans perhaps two threads. One general art discussion and one for board member art. (this of course, is with the blessings of the mods). I mean, you can't have absinthe without crazed artists rambling about art, right?
Certainly Not! I consider many things art so let the discussion roll!
Is there a difference between "considering" a thing to be art and it "being" art?
Can a glass of absinthe bridge the divide?
Can a glass of absinthe bridge the real divide? I doubt it. I surely think that there is a great, great difference between considering a thing to be art and it "being art" by the powers that be, but according to me there are plenty. As always, it takes a matter of assimilation before they are recognised as the genius they are.
I think it's all in the gulf between.
Save it for the art thread! w00t!
Leif has finally arrived!

Already livening the place up I see, you bring up a good idea; would you guys like some sort of forum devoted to art, writing, your blogs, etc? I suppose it could always be done in Off-Topic, but I think a dedicated forum would be better than a sticky thread.
