New ink in the New York Times. Looks like this stuff has hit the big time. Justifiably so.
Congrats, Cheryl! I'm thrilled you and your absinthe are getting the recognition you deserve. NY should be justifiably proud.

Good article too, though I'd take issue with the author's description of MoL as having a "strong, fierce flavor reminiscent of green walnuts." Huh?
Cool, Cheers!
I noticed that last night, got a Blackberry alert. Very cool article. As for green walnuts, haven't had the pleasure. Has anyone?
I've had the pleasure, if you can call it that, and I don't see (taste) the similarity at all.

That--along with the "strong, fierce" comment--makes me wonder if the author, like NYT's other "crack" spirits critics, believes that the proper way to taste absinthe for reviewing purposes is straight.
Nocino-sinthe? I don't think so.
Unlike many profiteers™, who think they have the right to look down at people and pretend their half-good products are made according to proprietary and confidential recipes they only know, Cheryl is an Artist and follows a respectable trend of listing the ingredients of the product on the label (exactly the same thing happens on both Pacifique and Voyager which are made by Artist, too), so it is up to the taster to put them in the right order on the palate, not invent some BS.

Go, Cheryl!
Always one to insert some bitterness to the discussion, eh Boggy? Wink
It is Christmas time, speaking human voice Wink
Cheers Cheryl! I'm waiting for a bottle of Mol to arrive! Smile
The converse to what you were saying BR is that you do not (add sarcasm to get the correct logic).
That's too hard to follow this time o'nite.
Lemme explain:
Statement: if "a" then "b"
Converse: if "b" then "a"
context:
if boggy inserts bitterness then BR does
If BR inserts bitterness then boggy does
add sarcasm
If BR does not insert bitterness then boggy does
Sorry wrong thread for that. Good on Cherly!!!!
Great find, PnB. Just like Stephen (Habu) in Alan's recent Real Absinthe Blog article, Cheryl is finally getting a brighter spotlight on her own hard work.

I thought the "Soon, the police were on constant patrol!" line after describing the arrival of her still was hysterical. "What the hell is that large box being delivered? The one being dragged into Cheryl's house?" I can imagine the officers whispering under their breath. "we'll need to do an hourly patrol and get bugs planted as soon as she leaves the house."
Another congrats from over here!
Wow, a second article in less than a week. What a Christmas present, eh?:
