Everyone,
As of October 24th, 2009, we are all presented with a clean slate. No leniency or additional consequences will be issued to a user based on their past history. However, I'd like to make it clear that some degree of order must be made to maintain a positive, WELCOME environment for everybody. I want you guys to feel comfortable here, to be able to enjoy yourself, and no other member should deprive you of that.
Effective immediately:
-Excessively mean-spirited and personal attack posts/posting exclusively to poke fun or be negative will no longer be acceptable. While not a zero tolerance policy, the margin of leniency will be much smaller from this point on.
-If one or more members are involved in an argument distracting enough to significantly bother others, a warning may be issued. If four or more complaints are received, the unpleasant content will be moved to off-topic in a separate thread (notice will be provided in bold along with a link within the former thread, as not to overly "bury" the content)
-Members posting strictly for self-promotion/SPAM: You know how to "welcome" these users, I'm sure...
-It takes time to monitor these forums as a one-man show, so you can help by clicking "REPORT" if you find something offensive.
These are not new rules. They were expected to be followed since the birth of this forum. The only thing that has changed is the consequences and how strictly they are enforced.
With that out of the way, we are of course here to have fun and discuss the drink we all know and have come to love, absinthe (among other things like Sailor Moon porn)! So let's do our best to get along and make some great memories together, everyone! We are a unique, quirky family of absinthe enthusiasts that have years of good times ahead of us.
