Vieux Carre Absinthe Review Spectacular: Part 2

Value:

Chris: Excellent value for the price point, something you can definitely afford now and again. Almost a category killer in terms of what you get for the money.

Ben: Though with Obsello only $45 now, it’s probably not quite as appealing as it once was. “Can I have another glass?”, “Well,…no.” *laughs*

Chris: Not unless you’re blonde.

Ben: Ho ho…

OVERALL:

Chris: Overall, it’s a safe bet for most people. No one is going to try it say “Oh my God, what the hell did I buy?”

Ben: No, I don’t suppose I’d hear too many people saying that! Any other closing arguments?

Chris: I do like the fact that it's made trying to be traditional, but at the same time trying to cover some new ground too. A good gateway absinthe, ha ha!

Ben: As a first effort this is good. I’d probably have liked to see a little more focus on the holy trinity, specifically more wormwood in the finish.  I also thought there was too much focus on the sweeter herbs. But overall it’s not a bad drink.

And I think that about wraps things up!

Chris: Talk to you later.

Ben: *drinks to excess, passing out shortly thereafter*
